Ordering and delivery

How to order, delivery coverage, and support options.

What is Rangaa Roots and where is it based?
Rangaa Roots is a farm-sourced organic food store based in Hosur, Tamil Nadu. We source directly from traditional farmers across Tamil Nadu with no middlemen, no chemical treatments, and no shortcuts. Every product is traceable to its source farm.
How do I place an order?
You can order directly through rangaaroots.com, or WhatsApp us for personalised recommendations before ordering.
Do you ship outside Hosur?
Yes. Rangaa Roots ships pan-India, with free delivery on orders above Rs. 250.

Sourcing and quality

How Rangaa Roots verifies farmers, products, and traceability.

Can I trust the quality of products I receive?
Every product at Rangaa Roots is sourced from farmers we have personally visited. We verify that no synthetic pesticides or chemical fertilisers are used. We do not work with middlemen or anonymous warehouses, so products come directly from farm to your door.
How do I know if organic food is genuinely organic?
Look for direct-source brands that can tell you which farm their products come from. Certification matters, but traceability matters more. Ask the seller which farm, which district, and what farming method was used. At Rangaa Roots, we can answer all three questions for every product we carry.
Why should I order from Rangaa Roots instead of Amazon or a supermarket?
The difference is traceability. A product listed as organic on a marketplace or supermarket shelf can come from anywhere, including large commercial farms or bulk distributors. Rangaa Roots is a small founder-led business. We source personally, pack carefully, and stand behind every order. If something is not right, you can WhatsApp us directly and we will sort it out with a real person, not a chatbot or call centre.

Health and nutrition

Practical guidance for organic choices, diabetes-friendly foods, and children.

Is organic food really worth the extra cost in India?
For specific high-risk items, yes. Cooking oil, rice, spices, and honey are worth prioritising because conventional versions can carry pesticide residues, chemical processing, adulteration, or dilution risks. FSSAI residue surveys have found a meaningful share of Indian vegetables exceeding Maximum Residue Limits for pesticides. The cost of prevention is usually much lower than the cost of managing chronic illness later.
Is your Karuppu Kavuni instant mix suitable for diabetics?
Yes, black rice has a low glycemic index of 42-58, which means it releases glucose slowly compared with regular breakfast cereals or white rice. It can be one of the more diabetes-friendly breakfast options. As with any dietary change, please check with your doctor if you are managing diabetes or medication.
Can children have the instant mixes?
Yes. The instant mixes are made from whole grains with no refined sugar, no artificial flavours, and no preservatives. Ragi mix is especially useful for children's bone development because it is naturally rich in calcium. Mix with warm milk and sweeten lightly with palm jaggery for a nourishing breakfast.

Products and storage

Product-specific questions, shelf life, and storage care.

What is the difference between your A2 ghee and supermarket ghee?
Most supermarket ghee is made by directly melting cream through a fast industrial process. Rangaa Roots A2 ghee is made using the traditional Bilona method: desi cow milk is first set as curd, hand-churned to butter, and then slow-cooked into ghee. It takes longer and yields less, but the granular texture, deep aroma, and butyric acid content are different. It is also made from A2 desi cow milk, which many people find easier to digest than milk from crossbred commercial cattle.
How long do your products last and how should I store them?
Instant mixes last 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored in a cool, dry place in an airtight container after opening. A2 ghee lasts 12 months unopened and 3 months after opening; store it at room temperature away from direct sunlight, or refrigerate in summer. Shampoo lasts 12 months. None of our products contain synthetic preservatives, so proper storage matters more than it does with commercial products.

Rangaa Roots promise

Traceability matters more than label claims.
